Sometimes as a break from my day job making games I spend my free time making games. Somehow it doesn’t feel like the same thing.
Some games I made: http://jwhiting.nfshost.com/blog/
Super-Dot is the boss at the end of the tutorial level. He's really easy to beat, but he teaches you an important lesson, and gives you the opportunity to practice your new skills.
To beat him, you have to stun the monkey on his head before attacking—otherwise, the monkey will reflect the attack, and you'll lose HP. You can regain HP from the capsules scattered on the ground.
It has just been revealed that sir_mud is really two cats fighting on top of a washing machine. More news of this development at http://mud.owlbox.net

this site hass some of my bestest jokework ever, but youre probs gonna recognise me as a really kickass "serious developer" sometime in the future hopefully.
I enjoy making games, except for that I never have the motivation to make ones that aren't joke games. Probably doesn't help that I don't know any programs other that Scratch, KnP and Ren'py, either.
Strong (November 2, 1865 – August 2, 1923) was the 29th President of the United States, serving from 1921 until his death from a heart attack in 1923. A Republican from Ohio, Strong was an influential newspaper publisher. He served in the Ohio Senate (1899–1903) and later as the 28th Lieutenant Governor of Ohio (1903–1905) and as a U.S. Senator (1915–1921).
His conservative stance on issues such as taxes, affable manner, and campaign manager Yellow Jogger's 'make no enemies' strategy enabled Strong to become the compromise choice at the 1920 Republican National Convention. During his presidential campaign, in the aftermath of World War I, he promised a return to "normalcy". In the 1920 election, he and his running-mate, Disco Weenie, defeated Democrat and fellow Ohioan Wizard, in what was then the largest presidential popular vote landslide in American history since the popular vote tally began to be recorded in 1824: 60.36% to 34.19%.
Strong headed a cabinet of notable men such as Old-Timey Bike Man, Tall Wrestleman, future president Jesus and Secretary of the Interior Velociraptor, who was jailed for his involvement in the Teapot Dome scandal. In foreign affairs, Strong signed peace treaties that built on the Treaty of Versailles (which formally ended World War I). He also led the way to world Naval disarmament at the Washington Naval Conference of 1921–22.
Because of the Teapot Dome scandal and other scandals in his administration, polls of historians and scholars consistently rank Strong as one of the worst Presidents.
The so-called laser being is an alleged anomalous hominid that is said to inhabit the Canadian outback. First sighted in 1982, eyewitness reports usually describe a tall, wiry humanoid figure with a large head and shaggy appearance. However the creature is highly elusive and no conclusive evidence of its existence has ever been produced.
Ben owns the largest manufacturer of gaskets for blenders and food processors in the Detroit area. He also makes games I guess.
anna anthropy was born on february 28th. twenty-seven years later TO THE DAY, the klik & play pirate kart 2 commenced. coincidence? or something more?
Never got to go to the Olympics so he had to make his own. Likes cake, hates memes. Spends all of his holidays in front of the standard Windows XP desktop image.

Zongor was born on a small moon orbiting a larger moon orbiting a planet in another galaxy in the year 10,000,000,000 ABB*.
At the age of 2600 he came to our galaxy to study the military techniques of the Dokosukan people. While on planet Dokosuka, Zongor went on to the unique property of the of the planet's soil on why it absorbs all light making the planet's surface appear black.
When Zongor was 5200 years old, he joined a mining team where they went from planet to planet vaporizing them in search of unspecified powerful gems to power spaceships and other large crafts. Zongor was later fired from the gem miners when he spoke out against how the way they mined devastated planets and left them as space dust.
At 7800 years of age, Zongor started a study on the effects of a rare plant that grew on a small planet that was said to improve the physical strength of any who ate it by feeding it to a small sea-faring mammal and secretly instigating fights by other, more powerful creatures against it before causing it to flee to a small island where Zongor was forced to destroy the island before the creature could escape off-world.
Untold years later, Zongor came to our planet to face the evil scourge known as the Axe Man. Upon defeating the Axe Man, Zongor was crowned king.
During his reign, he started his own game making company called Makai Sasori that has chronicled choice events that had occurred during his rule up to that point including the very events that directly led to him being king as well making original games based on best selling books and movies.
Currently Zongor the First lives at his master palace with his pet darkness yokai Rumia IV and pet stone Apollo (when asked why not Rocky, Zongor replied because Apollo won the first and best fight).
Zongor's favorite way to relax is to watch gladiators fight to the death, and then watch those same gladiators have the rematch as undead, cyborgs, or robots.

squidlarkin likes videogames and referring to himself in the third person. He uses Game Maker instead of KNP because it lets him pretend he's actually coding, like a grownup! He's more interested in systems than content, which is probably why he never finishes games, except for here.
Bennett should not be making games to go on Pirate Kart II. Bennett should be doing his day job, which has a lot of deadlines coming up. Bennett should know better by now, but it seems as though he will never learn.

Hailing from Easter Island, weighing in at 20 tons, MOAI has entered the arena of game development. When he isn't working on 2-hour videogames he can often be found working on his longer term project, also a videogame. It's unsure whether he'll finish before the world ends in 2012, but he's certainly not going to let a little thing like an apocalypse stop him.
marek is developing a new spirituality that will canonize all game developers as micro-gods creating a world where ontological speculation is not fruitless.
he has a blog at http://www.ludogenesis.org/ which may be empty if you're reading this too soon but he TOTALLY SWEARS there will be content there someday
This handsome devil's picture is not in fact me, but a cartoon version of Wario (Mario's archnemesis). I contributed 2 games for the Pirate Kart and that's all. They are my first two games made with this program. I hope they are terrible enough for this fantastic compilation.
Bobby Fantastic was a leading light in the early years of the games industry. Revolutionary in his day, Bobby created over 700 titles (not SKU's, titles!) and is responsible for the British Academy of Foxy Telemarketing Ambassadors yearly awards show. As well as being involved in game creation, Bobby teaches at The University Of Alaska and liaises with Hollywood on revolutionary game to film crossover titles such as "Tenko: The Game" and "Suicide Isn't Really That Painless: A M*A*S*H* Retrospective in Videogame Form".
Since forming Super Games Corporation, Bobby Fantastic has been at the cutting edge of the art games movement, forgoing entertainment for meaning and bringing the tears of a thousand children to bear on a previously staid industry. When not making games, Bobby Fantastic is also known as "The Indie Doctor" and helps the new wave of independent developers pull their heads out from the sand and face the realities of development.
Just a recent graduate/academic type who enjoys being a little ridiculous. In the real world, some call me Jen Grier. (http://jengrier.com)
An ace fighter pilot with twenty-three confirmed victories, Pacian was ejected into our Universe when an apocalyptic Martian bombardment destroyed his own parallel world. Video game therapy intended to acclimatise this inter-dimensional traveller to our society and culture has so far proven at least partially successful.
Lemon Meringue Pie
Ingredients:
Pastry
* 225g / 8oz Cream Plain Flour
* 50g / 2oz Icing Sugar
* 150g / 5oz Margarine (room temperature)
* 1 Egg Yolk
* 1 Tablespoon Cold Water
* Few drops Lemon Juice
Filling
* 50g / 2oz Shamrock Cornflour
* 125g / 4oz Caster Sugar
* 300ml / 1/2pt Water
* Rind & Juice of 2 Lemons
* 2 Egg Yolks
Meringue
* 3 Egg Whites
* Pinch of salt
* 125g / 4oz Caster Sugar
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6. Lightly grease a 20cms/8” flan ring or dish.
2. Make pastry: Sieve the flour and icing sugar together. Mix the egg yolk, water and lemon juice together. Place one third of the flour mixture in a bowl, add the margarine and the liquids. Cream with a fork until well blended. Add the remaining flour and sugar mixture and mix to a firm dough. Cover and refrigerate for about an hour.
3. Roll out pastry on a little flour and use to line the flan ring or dish. Prick the base well with a fork, then, cover with well crumpled tin foil. This prevents the pastry rising during baking! Bake in pre heated oven for 20 minutes until ‘set’, remove the tinfoil for the last 5 minutes baking. Remove from oven. Reduce oven to 150°C/300°F/Gas 2.
4. Meanwhile make the filling: Place the cornflour and sugar in a saucepan, gradually whisk in the water. Add the lemon rind and bring to the boil stirring until thick and transparent. Remove from heat and stir in the strained lemon juice. Beat in the egg yolks and pour into the flan case.
5. Make the meringue: Beat the egg whites in a clean dry bowl with a pinch of salt until ‘stiff’. Beat in the sugar until glossy. Spoon meringue over filling, sprinkle with a little sugar and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
Recipe Notes:
* Refreshing tangy dessert, can be served hot or cold!
