Oh man, fantastic. I'm totally tempted to write a Blaster clone with this. Or else write a paint program that completely abuses the goto() function to save data. Maybe one would help me write the other.

I've had my eye on lua-alchemy for a little while now, so it's kind of a nice way to play with that, too.
