The map reading scheme is pretty cool. I think you did something similar in Tek Demo (?), but this looks better since it has more than one terrain block.
This is based off a technique I learned from Mojofltr during Action Point 09. It's a reversal of the Tek Demo's Snapscroll. In Snapscroll, you move one large reader object over a map made of many objects. Here I move a map reader made of many objects over a map made of one object per tile type. Individual active object pixels determine the map layout. It doesn't work as well for "smooth" scrolling, but for screen-at-a-time, it works really well.
