The Klik of the Month Klub meets right here on this very website on the third Saturday of every month at 4pm Pacific Time (taking daylight savings into consideration) for a two hour Klik & Play Showdown. Everyone who participates gets two hours to create something from scratch in Klik & Play. Abusing the stock objects is encouraged. If you really loathe Klik & Play you can use whatever game development platform you want. Two hours is a pretty tight time limit, though, so choose wisely!
Klik & Play is absolutely free to download, and learning it takes minutes, so everyone can get in on the action. Want to talk to your fellow Klikwreckers? Join us on IRC -- server irc.freenode.net, channel #glorioustrainwrecks. Join the mayhem!

I'm doing my game a little
I'm doing my game a little early, as I have a social engagement later on this evening.
Standing in the Rain, Waiting for Brian Crecente, Crying
Based on Tim Schafer's twitter! Make it rain on Tim Schafer while he waits for Brian Crecente. Get Tim wet enough without meeting Crecente and he will start crying, thus fulfilling his destiny! Starring Tim Schafer's head on Klik & Play's built-in body parts as Tim Schafer, and Patrick Alexander as Brian Crecente. Yes, that's an actual sound clip of Tim Schafer saying "Brütal Legend."
Haven't actually played the game to completion, but I'm pretty sure it's winnable.
I didn't actually mean to make a game in which making Tim Schafer cry was the win condition, but apparently I did!
PROTIP: Try right-clicking on things on the title screen for HIDDEN EASTER EGGS.
EDIT! Download this version instead, unless you're a masochist who likes games which are only winnable by prolonged bursts of extraordinary good luck.
Throws me an error about not
Throws me an error about not having enough resources. :| I won't be able to see Brian Crecente crying.
Nevermind, the problem was
Nevermind, the problem was gone after I reset!
New, easier version
OK, after playtesting some more, I've discovered that this game is way too hard. I've made reload slightly faster and made each hit to Crecente knock him back farther, and it feels like I've got a reasonable balance now. At least, I can beat it.
Historically Accurate Allergic Barbarian Adventure!
You are a Barbarian. You have really bad sneezes. You are on an adventure!
Be sure to check out the Action Point KnP Demoscene Party starting today.
Pretend like you're part of the demoscene without the effort!
This may be retroactive, but
This game is truly badass and I can't say enough praise about it. It really captures every turmoil I can think of. It was a great choice of items to do a tgf port of and it came out gorgeous. I like to play it time to time. Amazing work.
AFTERNOON IN THE HOUSE OF SECRETS
YOU HAVE COME TO THIS ENIGMATIC HOUSE IN SEARCH OF THE SECRET THAT YOU KNOW IS HERE. YOU SHALL NOT LEAVE UNTIL YOU FIND THE SECRET!
made in twine!
if you find the secret, keep it a secret!
umm... there is no secret,
umm... there is no secret, right? D:
and that is the secret...?
ughh, that or i'm just a lameface. have looked everywhere. i think
evidently you have not
evidently you have not looked at what is right in front of you!
Or you had been looking in
Or you had been looking in IE or Chrome or Safari or something
(I pointed out a glitch in Dess' code that she's now fixed, but the secret was extra hidden for most browsers but Firefox- now fixed. But still difficult!)
Renegade SK8R
Avoid the Law! Find the Gun to put the Law into yur own hayands.
Shift to jump
Edit: argh, it's too hard. here is an easier version.
heh i think i managed to get
heh i think i managed to get through the original
I like the snapman cameo in the screenshot
antarmies
"If ants had nuclear weapons, they would probably end the world in a week."
--Journey to the Ants, Bert Holldobler & Edward O. Wilson
Not much of a game, or a political statement for that matter.
Roughly inspired by BoingBoing Offworld's coverage of Puit Wars
I kind of envisioned having more interaction with the dead bodies.
oh yeah it's arrow left and
oh yeah it's arrow left and right, then z and x to jump and shoot
new version is still buggy
new version is still buggy (ha!) but you can do more w/ the corpses.
The Tomb
What secrets does the tomb have in store?
The Peril Of the Underground
Hey look! The start of a pen and paper RPG! Created by me!
Includes a dice rolling program for those shameful, shameful folks that don't have dice in their house.
Can you make a glorious trainwreck in a thunderstorm?
apologies for not submitting on time, but i was caught in a not-so-glorious thunderstorm
so i made an autobiographical game about it
yay!

you're just finishing for a yelling-at
i can't believe i had the patience to finish this game
conclusions: it is probably pretty frustrating to make a game in a thunderstorm

ummm.. you actually played it? and beat it?
waah, you are amazing!
hehe, though now i feel bad for making it sooo hard xD sorry!!
thank you for playing it!
haha, im just excited. first game and all~
Late Contribution: Time Weasels
This is a game my comrade Mark Gobbin and I started making for this event. The extreme furor with which this game was conceived caused the unfortunate side effect of time dilation, meaning that what was two hours for us was closer to two days for everyone else in the world. We are currently working on resolving this matter, ironically, with giant rods of antimatter.
Features a cowboy!
aww this one's kinda deep
and kinda sad. I really like the art format, your collab did a really good job putting it together and it seems to all just fall right into place even though that's a place that's kind of difficult to be. Good loops, nice colid work, Uhh, I just happened to notice about 4 years later because i scrolled down.
Thanks! A while ago I put up
Thanks! A while ago I put up a version that actually runs online that I might as well post here. This game was the second in the 'Time Trilogy', the first is here and a third is currently in development purgatory. I promised Mark Gobbin I'd finish and release it this year...
2016 EDIT: Replaced Dropbox link with local upload. I didn't manage to release that third entry in 2013, but I'll get there.
Just a reminder...
KotM 24 is missing from the Klik of the Month Klub list. You should probably put up #25 as well.
