I'm guessing there's just way too much shit on the screen. It's drawing a new object every frame to make the plant grow. I just tried a couple things so hopefully this one works for everyone!

This really isn't relaxing at all! But I think you know that. Is the screen meant to turn black shortly after the change?

Yeah, as soon as it changes a flame starts rising from the bottom of the level. If you're too close to the beginning it probably happens way too quickly to realize what's going on.
I should probably fix that!
