Multiple Techs, Summons, and Rainbow Equipment

Double Techs:
Serge (Dash & Slash) + Glenn (Dash & Gash) = X-Strike
(Serge and Glenn charge at enemy, leaving a red 'X' trail. Simple, but effective.)
Kid (Pilfer) + Mel (Snatch) = Double Take
(Kid and Mel rush at enemy from different directions and each try to steal an item. I think you're more likely to suceed, but it sucks if you fail because it uses up both of their "stealing" elements.)
NeoFio (Bam Bam Bam) + Turnip (Veg Out) = Tossed Salad
(Turnip turns into, err... a giant turnip and NeoFio picks him up and slams him repeatedly into the enemy. Kinda neat, but sort of useless.)
Guile (WandaSword) + Sneff (Sword Trick) = Sword Storm
(Sneff puts the enemy into a box and Guile puts a bunch of swords in it.)
Karsh (Dragon Rider) + Zoah (Toss & Spike) = Dragon Spike
(Zoah hits the enemy into the air, then Karsh takes a flying leap off of his trusty steed.)
Draggy (Big Breath) + Leah (Triple Kick) = Draggy Rider
(Leah jumps off of Draggy's back "just like the big boys.")
Nikki (Limelight) + Miki (Dance on Air) = Flamenco
(Nikki and Miki preform a snappy duet that raises everyone's stats.)
Norris (Top Shot) + Grobyc (Strong Arm) = Pitch Black
(They shoot large balls of energy into the air, which combine and fall to the ground to hurt enemies.) Radius (Vital Energy) + Viper (Air Force) = Vital Force
(Viper knocks enemy into the air, then he and Radius slash three times, finished up with a high-speed spinning tornado slash. IMHO, the most impressive Double Tech and it's my favorite.)

Triple Techs:
Serge (Flying Arrow) + Kid (Red Pin) + Sprigg/Slash (Wind Slash) = Z-Slash
(The three of them charge at the enemy, marking it with a Zorro-like 'Z'. To use this Tech, you've got to beat Ozzie, Slash, and Flea in a New Game + or Continue + game and use Sprigg's Doppelgang to mimic the blue swordsman.)
Serge (Luminare) + Leena (Maiden Faith) + Razzly (RazFlower) = Delta Attack
(I, quite honestly never got this yet, because it requires Razzly's level 7 Tech. The only way to get this is if her sister dies, which only happens if you choose to save Kid and recruit Razzly normally. See the guide on obtaining character's Techs. It doesn't work if you've recruited her from an old game via the Chrono Cross.)

Summons:

Rainbow Equipment

This is fairly important, and sort of complex to get, but is definitely worth it. Especially in a plus game, because you get to keep all such equipment and it helps stomp over the enemies even easier than it would be normally.

IMPORTANT: YOU CANNOT FORGE RAINBOW EQUIPMENT UNTIL AFTER YOU COME BACK FROM THE SEA OF EDEN!!!

You need a number of things too.
  1. Rainbow Shells (duh!)
  2. Six pieces of "Shiny" materials (one of each type)
  3. Zappa and his Master Hammer weapon
  4. A TON of money (because it's so expensive)
First thing's first: Rainbow Shells. You can easily find around 10-20 per game. Here's the list: But it doesn't matter how many Rainbow Shells you have if you don't have enough "Shiny" material. There are six of them, one for each element color: Shiny Dew, Shiny Leaf, Shiny Ember, Shiny Sand, Shiny Soot, and Shiny Salt. You get these either by defeating enemies with a summon or disassembling an accessory with "strong elemental properties" (i.e. prevents negative status effects such as poison or burns or having one element color sealed i.e. Antioxinal Caps or Daemon Charms). There's a fairly easy method to using red, yellow, blue, and green summons, so it's fairly easy to get those four "Shiny" materials.
  1. Equip one (preferably two) characters with Dreamer's Scarfs or Sashes or Saerongs so you'll start out in battle with a high element level.
  2. Give the character with the Dreamer's accessories the summon you want to use, and another with a matching "field" element (Red Field, Blue Field, etc.). You can get by beating the elemental bosses in Terra Tower.
  3. Go to a place with relatively weak enemies that you can easily beat with a summon and get into a fight.
  4. Have your first character use the "field" element (work up to that element level if you have to).
  5. Quickly have the other character use the summon before the field effect gets screwed up.
  6. If it succeeds in killing the enemy, you'll receive one "Shiny" material for each monster you kill instead of the item you usually get.
  7. Repeat until you have enough "Shiny" material or you run out of stars.
However, there aren't black or white field elements. You have to modify your strategy some to get these materials. To get Shiny Soot, go to Fossil Valley (Another) and get into a battle with those Shadow Cats. Wait until they use three black elements in a row, then cast Mothership or Grim Reaper. Getting Shiny Salt is even easier. Go to Terra Tower. There are quite a few types of white elemental enemies that cast white elements, and enemies drop Angel Charms (which can be disassembled into Shiny Salt).

Now that you have all the raw materials you need, you need to learn how to forge them. If you show either Zappa a Rainbow Shell, he'll remark that he'd need another blacksmith as skilled as himself to forge it. But even if you bring the two of them together, nothing will happen because they need a stronger hammer. Go to Marbule (Home) after you beat FATE and the town is restored. In the cave where the Black Dragon was in the other world, there's a guy who sells you a fairly pricey Master Hammer for Zappa. Now go back to Termina (Another) and the two blacksmiths will begin forging a Rainbow Axe. (You don't get it, though.) Both Zappas are pretty pleased to work with such a high-quality material, and your Zappa will figure out how to forge Rainbow Equipment by himself. You can use the Smith Spirit to call him and forge your shiny new duds. A word of caution: don't automatically assume that Rainbow/Spectral/Prism equipment is the best for a character. The Mastermune is better than the Spectral Swallow (despite its slightly lower attack rating). Pierre must be equipped with the Hero's Blade for his level 7 Tech to work. Glenn is much better off with two Einlanzers than one Spectral Sword. There are six element absorbing plates, stolen from the six dragons, which you might prefer in some situations over Prism Mail because they absorb elements of a certain color. (That might include battles with Dario and the Criosphynx, you know.) Finally, I never thought Prism Helmets were all that useful.

I hope you found this informative. If not, well then I just wasted my time. 1
