Today's xkcd strip got me thinking. What sort of weird Tetris or Tetris-like games are out there?
So far I've seen Tetoris (that Flash Tetris game with an enormous playfield), First-Person Tetris (someone should remake this in 3D where you are literally looking out from the side of the piece), a physics-based Tetris or Tetris-like where the pieces are really bouncy, and a Tetris tech demo with anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, HDR, bloom, refraction, ambient occlusion...
Oh, and KnP Tetris!
Anyone know of any others?
Hmm, maybe we should make our own weird Tetris knockoffs too, though that might be a topic for Locomotive Engineers.
Edit: Ah, heck with it. I'll just go ahead and make this an event.
I hacked up Abandoned Bricks
I hacked up Abandoned Bricks once to add in some ludicrous game modes. Not sure what I did with the source, unfortunately, but I do still have a Windows binary kicking around. The modes that I added are "Only Sticks" and "Square Battle No 1". Neither of them are as brilliant as the built-in Bastet mode, which gives you the blocks algorithmically determined to be most useless to you, but I had a good laugh about them.
I also once had an unplayable vaguely physics-y Tetris-like for my Palm called TouchTris that's maybe worth mentioning.

Tetroid 2012 is a living, acid-influenced, glitching hell. Highly recommended, as it's really great and weird at the same time.

Kentris. No road trips with toll booths, but it's a tetris that SWERVES and yells out BONE! in an italian accent when a stick appears. It also insults you if you lose... "You play as well as a dead monkey!"
