I suddenly remembered this game after a random post on TIGS asking why there aren't more indie skateboarding games. Somehow a copy still existed on my external drive. I'm not actually sure when I first played it or why it left such an impression on me to have memories flooding back after over a decade, but I figure y'all might get a kick out of it.

This game is full of Klik
This game is full of Klik spirit, and not even in an ironic way. That's awesome.
I played the game by randomly mashing keys. Is this what I was supposed to do? Of course, I also exploited the fact that you can easily chain grind combos by reversing direction on rails, thus earning you tons of points in the process.
Enter is really awkward control mapping. If it were mapped it to Z instead, it would have been a lot easier, but then that wouldn't really be in the spirit of Klik, would it?
Edit: By the way, this isn't Click & Create. cncs232.dll = Click & Create 2 = Multimedia Fusion. Also, it has a zooming transition. CNC/TGF could only do basic screen wipe transitions, nothing advanced.
Edit 2: Blank trick!

Weird. The date of the main exe is 1996, which I thought was before MMF? The DLLs included are much newer than that, though. I have a vague memory of downloading a copy of this that was reuploaded by another person years after the fact. Perhaps he/she added the newer DLL in error? Maybe the transition was manually implemented with a resize zoom?
There's a list of moves in both the .hlp file and the in-game options. Including such easily guessed combinations as Space+Shift+Up to perform a 360 Hip, and Ctrl+Up+Right+Left to do a 1080 with a full special bar if you're going for aerial tricks. You can also continually hold enter to keep your combo going with a manual even if you fall off the rail so long as you have some horizontal momentum and don't hit a ramp or quarter pipe.
No, it's definitely an MMF
No, it's definitely an MMF transition. Pressing Alt + F4 causes the transition to skip. Heck, I've even _used_ that transition before. I believe it's called Alpha Zoom.
Also, the list of tricks is too intimidating - too few tricks and with arbitrary key combinations. It's much easier to just mash keys.
Then again, why even bother with vert when street awards you with a far greater amount of points? That trick where you reverse on the rail while grinding really works wonders. Using this technique, you can score over 100,000 points within two minutes. Personal best is 130344.

This site (probably not a reputable source, but all I found) seems to suggest Click & Create wasn't released until 1999. The plot thickens!

Curiouser and curiouser.
Not sure how accurate it is, but the Wikipedia article on Klik says CNC was out in 1996, and MMF 1.0 was out in 1998.
The help file specifically references "that damn MMF bug," which makes it 99% likely it was made in MMF. Now I'm wondering if whoever initially downloaded and zipped it up did so on a machine with a totally borked system clock.
