For me, playing this game was a balancing act between tedium and risk. Was only able to get really far by keeping my distance most of the time, especially near the end.
Yeah, the idea is that it'd take forever to kill unless you get in close where the action can happen. Which was a dumb idea since the more you progress the less risk-tolerant you're gonna be, generally. Not that I was thinking about it this much at the time.
Something I should probably have made clearer is that as long as you're inside the body of the boss, it won't spawn random guys, so it's less dangerous than it seems to get right in there.
The actual point of this making this was a to try a gimmick which I didn't get around to implementing, haha. (I'll use the idea eventually.)
I thought you had intended a twist ending where destroying the blocks does not actually kill the boss and his minions - it merely makes them invisible so they can more easily kill you.
