I wanted to finish my game for the themed trainwreck, but my laptop died and so has my backup laptop. How am I gonna do my projects now? I pulled up the old desktop from the basement and got zip disks to save my projects. Aargh. So annoying. Now I got to carry a zip drive wherever I go (it's USB so woot)
The zip250 drive died on me yesterday and I'm upset. At least the zip100 is still kicking. I went online to find any other zip250s on Amazon, but most of them are listed for $50. WTF. I'm not paying that much for a zip drive when I can find them at the thrift store for less than $10. Ugh. I just want to complete something, anything! How can I when my stuff keeps failing?? I was actually too depressed to do anything but my sister gave me a pep talk and I got out of bed to go finish a project. I would like to have a finished product.

Careful with zip disks, dude
Careful with zip disks, dude - the click of death can strike at any moment, without warning.
You've cursed me!
Shortly after that post, I had several disks go thru the click of death. WHY? WHY? WHY?!?!?!?!
I broke one of my zip drives in a fit of rage. The others drives are forewarned.
WTF am I to do, all that data just waiting to be gone forever... AARGH.

hmm, zipdisk... i'm happy with those little tiny card reader things... i like those compact flash cards the best cuz they're the most reliable and the most durable, and you can't lose them in the cracks of your toes like the rest... I overpaid for a 16 gig one a long time ago, but since then every time i find it it's like a leprechaun and a pot of gold.. for the price of media I'm surprised you can't just get an old jump drive... or even a broken mp3 player that at least works as a usb storage device (like either the volume button doesn't work or the in jack doesn't work).. i've got a least 2 of those.
But I saw that old crt monitor cracked, it made me all frownie.. I miss the CRT days. Sleek lcds just aren't the same.
