I'll try to interpret the game's message:

The spaceman represents the human mind, floating in an empty void of unreality and half-truths.
The robots represent the tendency to use logic as a way to grasp at unreality, and obliterate the ambiguity inherent in existence.
The space cars represent material wealth.
The dancing alien girls represent sensual pleasure, and the giving oneself over to physical stimulation. Their antennae protrude from both the left and right brain, indicating that these two halves of human nature are not united.
The power-ups look like raspberries, raspberries are a delicious fruit, but they are also a fart sound; farts are composed of decaying matter, so the power-ups represent the decay that is inherent in even the most vivid and sweet flowering of nature. They give you power because you are momentarily able to grasp the nature of life and death, but that power is fleeting because you are not metaphysically developed enough to fully comprehend reality.
The stars represent the distant hope of other lives, but it is implied that this unstoppable tide of alien life will eventually conquer every visible star, all hope for life will be snuffed out.

So uh.. as a whole the game is about... um ... what am I talking about.............................. I don't know.
