Malefact's picture

Malefact

Malefact was first exposed to trainwrecks when he participated in a pretty rad and quite extensive lucasarts fangames community way back when. His magnum opus, "Space Fandango", was sadly lost to the world following the great computer fustercluckening of 2003.

He forgot, for a time. But upon discovering GLORIOUS TRAINWRECKS his passion for Klik and b-games was rekindled, and here he is today.

The best - and indeed the worst - is surely yet to come.

This guy is a total buttwipe! He blocked me on YouTube! Can you believe that crap? I bet he lives in his parents' basement. I hope he gets butt scurvy. He makes like, 875 videos of himself narrating over videogames, who the hell does he think he is to boss me around!!! He even talked over the music in Tyrian! I freaking love the Tyrian music! He should just shut the hell up so I can hear the music! And now he's making games? I bet they suck! He sucks! Suck!

EffBee

A crazed, deranged social outcast, EffBee will probably bore you to death with his constant musings over Linux, KDE SC, and computing in general. In fact, if you were to have a conversation with him, you would probably want to kill him. Or destroy your eardrums. But he does make some pretty humorous trainwrecks!

EffBee has used Click products ever since 1999, and although he has gained a fair bit of knowledge with the various products, there's little of that to be found in his contributions toward the Pirate Kart. Not only that, but he hardly Clicks anymore, as he's moved on from creating games to agonizing over little details and eccentricities in the C++ programming language. Still, he can hardly resist making the occasional trainwreck now and then in Klik & Play or some other Click product.

All trainwrecks in this collection authored by EffBee contain 0% Yoshi (ha ha, bet you weren't expecting that).

Clint Emsley

I like to pretend I'm a game designer, but really I'm just another guy with a big ego and a verbose, pompous manner of speaking.

You can check out MORE of my verbose pompousness at my blog, http://clintmakesagame.com

My secret wish is that I'd joined Glorious Trainwrecks when I first visited the site about 2 years ago. Then I would really be a cool kid.

Jeremy "Spindley Q Frog" Penner

Jeremy started Glorious Trainwrecks in April of 2007 because he wanted to play more games like The Last Eichhof, a freeware DOS game where you controlled a beer bottle that shot at alarm clocks while yodelling in space. Unbelievably, it worked.

Since then, he has hacked his Wii to play Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! with bongos, reverse-engineered the Klik & Play file format, created a realtime multiplayer telnet ANSI drawing program with ambitions to become a collaborative game development tool, and instigated dozens of internet game jams, bringing together people from all over the globe and producing somewhere in the neighbourhood of 1000 games so far.

Noyb's picture

Noyb

Noyb has been using Klik & Play since the age of 12, and is grateful for this monthly dose of nostalgia. His other games include a Mario fangame where you fight a giant poop monster, an artgame where pachinko is used as a Freudian metaphor for awkward sexual tension, an adventure game where Admiral Horatio Nelson holds long conversations with thinly disguised videogame heroes, and a business sim about a company which sells no products.

Shadsy

Shadsy has been tinkering with Klik products since around 2001 after discovering a Klik & Play demo on a CD for SimTower. He continued attempting to make games for most of the rest of the decade (mostly fangames). Although he rarely completed any projects because of his unrealistic goals, he found the most fun and his greatest success in one-off joke games and intentional schlock.

Shadsy no longer really makes games. Still, he occasionally fires up MMF2 when he's bored... and when opportunities like this come up to make something horrible.

Healy (Molly)

Hi ho Healy here! I have written several text adventures (or interactive fiction, whichever you prefer) over the past few years, but never have I made as much as I did for this event. I have enjoyed playing video games ever since my family got an SNES for Christmas when I was a little kid. I started writing interactive fiction a few years ago and recently have begun to look into making other types of games as well. I hope you enjoy the Pirate Kart!

P.S. I am a lady.
