Level 7 Techs and Special Weapons:

This isn't a guide to recruiting characters; rather, it is a guide to their special level 7 Techs/special weapons. However, I'm listing these more or less in the order in they can be recruited (it's kinda easier to remember it that way), BUT IT IS NOT A GUIDE TO RECRUITING CHARACTERS! See elsewhere for character recruitment. You -probably- can't get most of these until you return from the Sea of Eden. An @ sign means the listed item is an Element. (Note: If a character's level 7 Tech isn't listed, it means that they learn it automatically. Or I've forgotten it.) This guide contains many spoilers. Don't read it if you want to be surprised.

I mean it! This guide refers to characters that you might not have recruited and mentions events related to their past.

Serge: Mastermune-Defeat Dario to get this cool looking weapon. Don't be fooled when you see the Spectra Swallow has more attack power. The Mastermune gets critical hits a lot, so you can get 900-1300 damage nearly every attack. @Chrono Cross-Not a Tech element, but it's pretty important to the plot and can only be used by Serge. Take the Tear of Love and the Tear of Hate to Divine Dragon Falls (Hint: The waterfall near the Hydra Marshes!!! Its name isn't on the map!!!) after the whole Sea of Eden deal. It recharges used Elements, lets you use characters in old games if used in the Temporal Vortex, and is required to get the "good" ending. In fact, it's so important that its name is spelled in CAPITAL LETTERS!
Kid: @Hotshot-In the room you start in when you go back in time to save Kid in the burning orphanage, there's a machine by the door. Stand in front of it and hit L, Triangle, R, Triangle (LARA, like in Chrono Trigger). I forget which of the L and R buttons you have to press, and if you have to press X at the end of the sequence. But if you do it right, a box will pop up telling you got it. (Note: You'll know if you're standing in the right spot if you hear a chime after every button press. But that doesn't tell you if you've gotten it right...) One of Lucca's machines falls from the sky and Kid kicks it and it shoots out a laser. Not excessively powerful...
Leena: @MaidenFaith-Answer Leena's questions at the beginning of the game like this: "I remember" "We'll never forget this day" and "I'm Serge!". You have to answer at least two "correctly," so I hear. Then later in the game, go to her mother in Arni (Home) and she'll give you this element. It raises her stats temporarily and revives her if she dies.
Poshul: @Unleashed-Take her to someone in Arni Village (I forget who and which one, but I think it might be Leena at Home). Poshul takes off her collar and grows several times her original size and body slams the enemy.
Mojo: @HoodooGuroo-If you talk to the fisherman in Arni (Home) who game you the Shark Tooth, he says he's been having freaky dreams about Lickey, Aurey, and Lasery the Cat. (I'm not sure if it's that exact order, talk to him to make sure.) So, go to Arni (Another) and go to his "other" self's room with Mojo in your party. Examine the cat statues in the order the guy told you. It's either Lickey, Aurey, and Lasery or Lasery, Aurey, and Lickey. After you do this, Mojo admits that he's a voodoo doll (no, really...) that was made to spread pain and unhappiness. He didn't like it very much, but he admits he likes travelling with Serge and it makes his life meaningful and happy. He also changes his name from "Mojo" to "Mojoy", so that's not a typo. "Mojoy" nails the enemy with his nail, then spins around really fast and lifts it into the air and drops it.
Pierre: Hero Medal-He joins with this accessory equipped. Hero Shield-Find it in Viper Manor's first treasure room (connected to Luccia's lab). Hero's Blade-Disguised as the Prop Sword found in the theater area of the Dead Sea until you take it to Pierre late in the game and he admits he's not a hero. (He can't be in your party at the time.) @SlapOfCyrus-Gotten at the same time as the Hero's Blade, but it only works if Pierre is equipped with all three pieces of Hero's equipment. Simple but fairly powerful.
Nikki: @Limelight-Talk Nikki to Nikki after the big concert. It attacks all enemies.
Korcha: @BigCatch-Have Korcha talk to the captured mermaid in the aquarium belonging to the trader in Termina market (Another) and then leave. He later says the mermaid escaped. Go back to the "shrines" area and talk to the mermaid again to get this. It does damage, but isn't that different from his other fishing move.
Razzly: @RazFlower-*NEW* I heard on the gamefaqs message board that the time it takes to defeat the dwarfs determines if Razzly's sister lives. I'm not sure, since I haven't tried it yet. I'll keep the old info here just in case, because the new data seems to clash a bit with my experience (namely that Rosalia[sp?] seemed to die my second time through, even though it should have taken less time to beat it. And my cousin had an awful time beating the dwarf tank and I seem to recall that she survived. I'm not certain, though.) *OLD* There's several outcomes to the "war" between the Hydra Marsh Dwarfs and the Water Dragon Island Faries depending on whether or not you meet certain requirements.
1. Recruit Razzly and defeat the Hydra with her in your party.
2. Recruit Razzly, but you don't have her in the party you use to defeat the Hydra.
3. If you choose not to save Kid, Razzly is eaten by the Pentapus and the adventurers (or soldiers from Porre...?) kill the Hydra.
If you follow path one, Razzly will notice the Hydra's offspring. After you beat the Hi-Ho War Tank, someone in your party will tell those stinking Dwarfs that there still is a Hydra in Hydra Marshes and they go back to care for it and repent their sins. Razzly finds her sister, barely alive, and nurses her back to health. In path two, all the Dwarfs mourn their fate and die. And Razzly's sister dies. That sucks. Finally, the end to path three ends with the Dwarfs dying and Razzly's sister lives. Now, the point to this is YOU CAN'T GET RAZZLY'S LEVEL 7 ELEMENT UNLESS HER SISTER DIES! That's why you have to recruit her normally. I haven't gotten this yet, but I've read from other guides that you take her to her sister in the Another world to get this element. (You'll need it for the Delta Attack Triple Tech.) As I've said, I haven't gotten this one yet (because I didn't know who I had to my second time through and I took the "don't save Kid" path the third time through. Basically, I got the different paths in the order I've listed above.)
Glenn: Einlanzer-Well, actually a second one. The first one you find during the regular events of the game. To get the second one, put Glenn in your party and go to Garai's/Dario's grave in Termina (Another). Dario's spirit allows Glenn to draw the second Einlanzer and gives him the power to wield both of them and become a two-fisted swordman like their father. I'm assuming that Dario was left-handed because I think he indirectly controls Glenn's left hand in battle. With two Einlanzers and some Sunglasses, Glenn can do almost as much damage as Serge with the Mastermune.
Doc: @HangTen-In the Dead Sea, find a ghost-like figure in the train station and talk to it. Examine the spot where it disappears to get the Station Pass. Use it to get past the turnstiles and find a Medical Book. Take it to Doc when he's not in your party to get this. It heals your party.
Greco: @GraveDigger-Take him to the house in the "shrine" area of Termina (Home) and speak to the fortune teller inside to get this. It's an elbow drop off of a tombstone.
Pip: Ugh. Another hard to describe Tech. Well, actually Pip has FOUR level 7 Techs (depending on his final form). It all depends on what elements you use in his presence. White, Blue, and Green are "good" elements. Black, Red, and Yellow are "bad" elements. (At least I think...) Use mostly "good" elements and he'll grow wings. Use more "good" elements and he'll become an angel. Use mostly "bad" elements and he'll grow horns. Use more "bad" elements and he'll become a demon. Use "bad" elements from his first good form or "good" elements from his first bad form and he'll become a rainbow butterfly because you'll have used all the elements. His evolution looks like this chart:

I hope you find that chart useful, because it took longer to make than it looks. Well as I said, Pip learns one of three Techs depending on his final form (he gets the fourth if he doesn't evolve, I guess). However, I heard about this only lately, after I got 99 stars. Pip evolves after a level up, so he won't evolve if you can't get any more stars. My Pip only has a maximum element level of 6, so I can't confirm the fourth Tech exist (but it does make sense...). Note: DO NOT E-MAIL ME ON THIS SUBJECT! I DID NOT FIND OUT THIS INFORMATION MYSELF, I FOUND IT OUT AT THE GAMEFAQS PAGE. If you need help, just do as I did and look up a "Pip" guide on, say www.gamefaqs.com (I think that's right, but don't blame me if I'm wrong...)
Luccia: @TestAmeba-Yes, that's the way it's spelled. Put her in your party and go into Viper Manor's sewer (Another) through the kitchen and fight against the current. (Be sure to shut it off first, silly!) Now, look for a passage on the left and examine the round, white blob next to the treasure chest. She capsulates it to "infect" enemies later.
NeoFio: @BamBamBam-Go to Sky Dragon Island (Home) with her in your party and talk to the weird, butterfly chasing Cukemage look-alike. Leave, then come back and talk to it again to save the butterfly and a bunch of butterflies will give you this. NeoFio slams a big branch on enemies.
Skelly: @OnTheBall-Take ol' bony boy to the Dragon Tail bar in Termina (Home, not Another) and speak to the lady who owns it to get this. He rolls toward the enemy on a giant beach ball decorated with a skull.
Sprigg: Forget-me-not Pot-Not a weapon, but an accessory that anyone can equip. Why am I mentioning this here? Well, the only way to get more Doppelgang morphs is if Sprigg or someone with a Forget-me-not Pot lands the finishing blow. Essential if you want to get certain morphs at the beginning of the game. Huh? Where is it? Oh... It's in the stairwell at Chronopolis. @Dopplegang abilities-I think I heard there are 75 of them. So don't blame me if there are more or less. Though I do probably have most of those, I think. See my Doppelgang list for more details.
Van: @PiggyBoink-He has it from the start, but I feel it's worth mentioning in this guide because it's unique. The more money you put into his piggy bank in Termina (Home), the more damage this does but the more likely it is to break and lose all the money inside. If you see the rich Gogh in Termina (Another), he'll give Van a bigger piggy bank.
Zappa: Master Hammer-Buy this from some explorer guy in the restored Marbule (Home) after returning from the Sea of Eden. Neccessary if you want to get Rainbow Equipment. (See my guide on forging Rainbow Equipment for more details.)
Norris: @TopShot-Talk Norris to Norris in Viper Manor after you save Riddel and you'll get this. Just like it sounds, he shoots into the air. Plasma Gun-Though it's not his most powerful weapon (did someone say 'rainbow'?), Norris can use Starky's Plasma Gun.
Starky: @StarStruck-Take Starky back to his ship in El Nido Triangle (Another) after getting the anti-gravity part. The big Power Ranger-like Starman Guardian robot crashes into enemies like a comet. Plasma Gun-Take Starky to Arni Village (Home) and ask the fisherman with the swordfish nicely. It was caught in the El Nido Triangle, remember? It's not his most powerful weapon, though.
Funguy: @Myocynoid-I think that's how it's spelled. All you have to do is take Funguy in his cave in Shadow Forest (Home) and try to pick and eat the mushroom in back. It turns out to be one of his sporelings. I say 'one' because a whole army of tiny, cute mushrooms attack when you use this element.
Turnip: @VegOut-Go to NeoFio's pool in Viper Manor (Another) with both NeoFio and Turnip in your party. She won't let him in if she's in it. He turns bright red and leaps high into the air. Speaking of leaping into the air, Turnip jumps up and turns into a giant version of his turnip head when you use this Tech. Kinda funny looking.
Janice: @WhatsUpDoc-Just take her to the Bend of Time and speak to the stupid Cukemage look-alike and she'll learn how to blast enemies into the air by focusing energy on them. Betta Carrotene-You'll find her Rainbow weapon in Terra Tower. Look in a chest at the top of a coral ladder after talking to the giant face. It's behind a fast-moving jet of water, so you have to move fast (or slow things down with the Time Shifter). What's that, you say? You've already beaten the Time Devourer and you can't get back into Terra Tower? Tooooo bad! You can't forge the Betta Carrotene.
Irenes: @SirenSong-Easy to find, I think. Talk to the witch doctor in Marbule (Home) after it's restored (after the concert and the Sea of Eden events). You don't even have to have her in the party to get it! If she's not, just take it to her in the Sage's cave. @SirenSong summons a wave to hit enemies.
Karsh: @Axiomatic-Defeat Solt and Peppor during the "Dario" subquest. A spinning axe slash.
Zoah: @Toss&Spike-Take him to open his chest in his room at Viper Manor (Another) to get this. He has to be at the head of the party before he'll open it. If he's in your party, just hit the select button to put him in front. This move tosses the enemy into the air and "spikes" it, just like it sounds like. Maybe he used to be a volleyball player. :-)
Orcha: @DinnerGuest-Take him to his brother, the chef in Arni Home, to get this. Orcha's dark side drops a giant meat tenderizer on it.
Grobyc: @StrongArm-While you're wandering about in Chronopolis, put Grobyc in your party and open the long box in the locker room. Though Luccia knows what it is, I don't think you need to have her to install it. It turns out to be a big ol' super weapon that looks like it came with some action figure.
Riddel: Momento Pendant-Riddel's special item, stolen by Solt and Peppor, and shown to Dario to recover his memories. (Though he does attack you... Oh, well.) Raises magic defense. @SnakeFangs-Beat Dario to get this. (That's harder than it sounds...) It recharges some of her elements.
Viper: @FlagBearer-When he talks to the bar owner in Termina (Home), she'll open up the secret back room for General Viper. Inside is a perfectly preserved flag that she saved from the days before the Acadian Dragoons fell. She was waiting for his return to give him it. This is a pretty cool element, in my opinon. Viper strikes an impressive pose, as his flag is raised in the background. A golden glow raises his stats and restores all his HP. The fact that it completely heals him (except for status abnormalities) makes it a little better than some of those "other" stat-raising elements. Viper Venom-After Viper joins, go back to Viper Manor. But it is still heavily guarded. You either have to have Norris in your party or wait till they all leave after the Sea of Eden events. Go into the treasure room/armory to the right of Luccia's lab and hit the hidden switch in the back left pillar. Push the snake statue into its niche to open a hidden treasure room. Because you hit the switch, you turned off the trap guarding it. You may have found the room earlier, but you cannot turn off the trap until later because a guy is standing in the way. It's the best weapon for him, unless you have a Spectal Sword or the Slasher.
Fargo: @Invincible-The easiest level 7 Tech to find, because you get it automatically after the concert. (You have to have him in your party to "convince" the other Fargo to hold the concert anyway.) I think the "forbidden deathblow" resembles Odin's Zanetsuken from FF8, except for the fact it doesn't kill the enemy automatically.
Steena: @HydraShadow-If you defeat the Wingapede in Hydra Marshes (Home), you open up a hole you can drop down into to save Razzly. Now go to Hydra Marshes (Another) and go to the same place. There should be a hole here, too. Drop down into the hole. (You'll probably sprain your legs, but don't worry.) Inside are a couple of angry Dwarf ghosts who sic the Hydra's ghost on you. Defeat it (it's nowhere near as difficult as Dario) and Steena will be able to summon it. It's not a summon, though. Just her level 5 Tech. (Yes, that's right. You have to find two Techs for her to use.) @GaraiShadow-Simply take her to see Garai's grave in the Home world(where you fought his ghost for the first Einlanzer) and she'll promise him to try and help him fufill his dream. All three of her Techs are pretty darn cool.
Draggy: @BigBreath-Take him to Fossil Valley (Home) and climb up to the big skull near where you found him. He recognizes it as his mom, who tells him not to be sad because he's made a lot of friends. Her spirit gives him the power to spit bigger fireballs.
Orlha: @SisterHoods-Take Orlha to Doc in Guldove (Home) where her sister Tia is dying. Tia gives her the rest of the Sapphire Brooch (turns out it was "just" a Blue Brooch) and says she's happy to see her sister before she dies. Orlha is upset about losing her as soon as she found her, but Tia's ghost appears and says she'll always be with her in spirit. @SisterHoods is a special attack in which Orlha and Tia's ghost repeatedly kick an enemy in the air. Come to think of it, the kicks kinda remind me of FF8's Different Beat...
