Wanted to make something smaller and more relaxed cause I usually turn up the weird/angry/in-your-face knob too much. I also wanted to experiment with multiplayer more. There's 4 girls on an island and a bunch of rooms. You can control every girl and explore the island. there's minimal interaction. I threw in some of my old music as a backdrop
Girl 1:
arrow keys: move
enter: interact
Girl 2:
WASD: move
E: interact
Girl 3:
IJKL: move
O: interact
Girl 4:
Numpad 8456: move
Numpad 9: interact
This was surprisingly stressful to make

Music Error?
I ended up receiving an error message whenever I was on the main island for a bit. Maybe it has something to do with the background music?
Any idea what might be causing this?
I figured it out: I didn't
I figured it out: I didn't refer to the file extension in the part where the music's supposed to loop- so if it ends and tries to loop it it gets that error. It's fixed now and I've uploaded a new version
Works Well Now!
I can understand that a lot of work went into it. Trying to sort out the camera between all the player characters seems to me like the biggest chore.
I appreciate the icons you created for the button presses. This also seems like a nice foundation for a social "chat" game, with multiplayer online capability. Or maybe an old skool LAN chat client? Like a LAN slumber party or something, I don't know. There's an innocent, child-like vibe to everything going on that's appealing and it would be great to see more of it if you were to continue development.
I'm glad you like it! Yeah
I'm glad you like it! Yeah the engine could really be applicable to any new projects, it's pretty small and robust. I've never tried making an online game before, but it feels like I'd have to uproot a lot of the engine for that, so maybe some other day. Another small adventure game would be cool, maybe with more details and places.
As you say I could continue development. The setting is pretty cool and I could flesh it out. As for now, I decided to finish making it around the time I felt there was enough there.
Neat stuff! Made with Blitz
