I climbed the right edge of the screen to beat this game.
What's sorta interesting is that some people know about that glitch, and some don't. SpindleyQ seems to know about it, judging from his Trainwrecks (I think one of his even _requires_ you edge-climb to beat it). We must educate more users on the crappiness of Klik & Play's platform movement so that games can be made even more unplayable! Yeah!
I'm aware that you can work around most Klik & Play movement glitches. It's just that I like to embrace them ironically.
Also, for the edges, I usually just got by comparing the X position and resetting it. It doesn't really stop the momentum, but oh well.
Is it really necessary to ignore player control that long? Seems to me that you can reenable control as soon as the detector leaves the obstacle.
I'd rather just construct a custom movement system anyway, if I was really serious about making something non-ironic in KnP.
My previous post was supposed to say "you've already written the book on platform glitches" but my link text disappeared and the rest of the post turned into the link? Either I forgot to close a tag, or there's some weird stuff going on database-wise.

You've already on KnP
You've already on KnP platform glitches, but have you ever tried to disable them? For example: the edge-climb glitch can be defeated by placing a thin quickbackdrop along the screen edge, set to "obstacle". Ceiling hanging can be defeated by placing an hidden object above the player, and disabling their controls when it hits the backdrop, and restoring control when the "stopped" animation is playing again (therefore not jump or fall).
