A STORY ABOUT A PLACE AND A TIME (twine)

Game File:

Hi, this is a short twine game I made a few months ago. I just went through it again right now, and I enjoyed it, though I wouldn't want to expand on it. It doesn't entirely fit in with the jam constraints, but i think it fits well enough. Some of the links don't work, but I think it's playable and enjoyable enough that other people would get something out of it.

edit: this is just something silly, but for some stupid reason I keep checking for comments. I will stop regularly checking for that, because it's super egotistical. The llama thumbnail has nothing to do with the game, it's just so people can see the game.

This passage does not exist

There's something I find really charming about disjointed stream-of-consciousness Twines like this, and the abandoned points of the story are an oddly positive addition. I felt like my job as player was to figure out which storyline you didn't lose interest in and track it to the end, like some sort of meta-game. I'd still like to see a game from you that you're satisfied enough with to tie up all its loose ends, though.

From the 'ground salmon' passage the 'Look around' link is broken. I know a lot of links are broken, but that one seems like it's meant to go to the previous existing page of the same name. I guess I can just use the back button though, so no big deal if you don't feel like fixing it ever.

Oh, and eventually I got this message:

Sorry to interrupt, but this story's code has got itself in a mess.

ou may be able to continue playing, but some parts may not work properly.

Which is pretty cool, if only because of the weird 'ou' typo and the fact I've never seen Twine throw one of these before.

I'm glad you liked it!

I'm glad you liked it! That's an interesting perspective about tracking down the things I didn't lose interest in.
