A game... or vignette? I have no idea. Where the game window (I guess it's a game now) becomes a small picture frame that can be moved around with the mouse. And as you move the picture frame around the screen, you will find a MONSTER that is trembling in fear at something accompanied by a cry. Or is the sound effect a taunt? Who knows???????????
Made in a day for the inaugural Nobody Except Me Knew I Was Making This But I Needed To Capture The Idea Before It Faded jam.
Bileview was created in Clickteam Fusion 2.5. Art was drawn in GraphicsGale/Microsoft Paint and sound effects were recorded in Audacity.
I've uploaded a new .zip that now contains the source for anybody who's interested in exploring a similar mechanic! I removed the sprites and audio from it, though, to preserve some of the sense of discovery in the game. It requires the Mouse object and Window Control object.
===DESCRIPTION===
BINKY XXI is a short walkabout game starring you in the role of Binky, who is looking for their boyfriend Ruff. Can you find Ruff, deep in the clutches of Robolloyd's deadly, disturbing, disgusting, scary, scummy, stagnant, trap-filled, terrifying, triangular, haunted castle? Probably!
Once the game has been launched on your computer device, you can press the spacebar to advance the opening explanation. Afterwards, you can move Binky around the world with the WASD or arrow keys. Press spacebar again at any point to try to interact with an object you are standing above- such as an open door, a locked door, a secret door, etc. Who knows what you'll find? I do.
===THEBINKYZONE EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE DEVELOPERS===
Interviewer: Finally, tomorrow is the release of "BINKY XXI", can you tell us at TheBinkyZone about it?
Developer 1: So... We got our Halloween holiday break early, and all of us decided to have a party at the local haunt.
Developer 2: Literally! A real haunted mansion. I saw a ghost!!
Developer 3: No you didn't, it was just a sheet on a broom!
Interviewer: What was your experience like at the mansion?
Developer 1: Yes well. The fruit juice we had catered was pretty strong, it affected our faculties pretty bad.
Developer 2: Don't even get me started on the catering... We had to carry it to the mansion ourselves!
Developer 3: We had such a wild time, when we got back to the office that afternoon, we realized developer 4 was missing!
Interviewer: What happened next, and how is developer 4 doing today?
Developer 1: It was such a scary experience, we figured it'd be great material for the next Binky game.
Developer 2: And they say that to this day, what's left of him still haunts that mansion... That was a week ago.
Developer 3: We actually just forgot the directions to the mansion, so nobody's been back to check on him.
Interviewer: That's IT. The standards of your company make me sick. I refuse to continue to support such a dangerous workplace!
Interviewer: (stands up, knocking their chair over, and leaves the room)
Developers: ...
Developer 2: Hey, they left their box of donuts behind, I call dibs!!

Sparkly Rainbow Kitty Fluff Adventure is a cute colourful bouncy exploration platformer filled with secrets.
It is dedicated to my wonderful kitty Chuchino, who passed away today.
I made this short game because I mostly wanted to just mess around with some sprites I made a long time ago, and a world & characters I made a long time ago, just to prove I could. Might use these sprites somewhere else too cause I like them
Oh, and some music I made a long time ago, too. Basically I just wanted to throw some homeless stuff together and see what the outcome was.
Z: jump
C: action (go to area on map)
Arrow keys: move
M: mute
There's 7 tokens dotted around this (small) world, see if you can nab them
Wanted to make something smaller and more relaxed cause I usually turn up the weird/angry/in-your-face knob too much. I also wanted to experiment with multiplayer more. There's 4 girls on an island and a bunch of rooms. You can control every girl and explore the island. there's minimal interaction. I threw in some of my old music as a backdrop
Girl 1:
arrow keys: move
enter: interact
Girl 2:
WASD: move
E: interact
Girl 3:
IJKL: move
O: interact
Girl 4:
Numpad 8456: move
Numpad 9: interact
This was surprisingly stressful to make
Unseen, a delivery bot arrives at your front door. It deposits a package through your door- if you didn't before, you have a handy mailbox slot now. A screeching, robotic voice begins to blare.
"You have NEW MAIL, Sergio Cornaga! Enjoy, and farewell... Beep boop."
Open the parcel upwards, and inside is a brand new copy of "WORLDLY ADVENTURES UPON THE FORSAKEN AGES OF KEEN KNOWLEDGE, PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY, AND EXTERIOR EXPLORATION [EXPERT PROFESSIONAL USER EDITION FOR HOME USE ONLY]", known as "World of Explore PRO Edition" for short-hand/case. What a day it is to recieve such a fantastic thing!!
Also included is a letter... What could it say? Well, the following:
"Hello valued (CUSTOMER NAME),
"This copy is registered to USER ID#100000000000000, that is to say, you! Your purchase code can be found inside as well, which necessary to pass the state of the art DRM (Digit Retention Multitasker) that WoE PRO Edition includes to counter rampant piracy. No user input is required, for it (or, lack thereof) will be automatically detected. We hope you have a good customer experience. Complaints can be directed to your window.
"To re-brandish the benefits of upgrade from ShareWare "Worldly Explorations Of Joy" to the the PRO Edition you are now a proud, correct owner of, here is a complete list of benefits:
"Thank you dear (CUSTOMER NAME) for your purchase! And remember, DO NOT LET ANYBODY ELSE PLAY IT FOR THAT WILL BE A BREACH OF CONTRACT AND NOT TOLERATED. Thank you again for supporting this Wonders of Edutainment production (executively co-produced by all lowercase, jery nail).
"PS. We greatly appreciate your patience in waiting two weeks 500 days 1 year, 11 months, and 18 days for this amazing package!"
Hmm. Well, alright. Let's pop the disc in the computer and see what happens next...
Cute Witchy House is a sort of "game sketchbook" I started recently. It's a simple exploration game that I add little fun things to whenever I'm feeling up to it.
Currently, there are six small screens to explore. There's not much to do yet, but there are a few surprises and secrets.
To move, you can use the arrow keys or WASD (or PL;' because my arrow keys are broken and I'm right-handed).
If you like it, you can follow the Twitter account https://twitter.com/cutewitchyhouse for updates. I probably won't be able to follow any kind of regular update schedule, but I hope I can keep the game slowly growing over time.
