So yeah, after submitting the first game I just kept working on it through the weekend. I added a bunch of gameplay and even a little story. You need to get to the planet without running out of sheilds. If you move too much, your engines will run out of fuel, and if you fire too much, you can't defend yourself, so be careful.
Arrow keys to move, space to shoot.

Adorable intro! Nasty surprise when my engines gave way. Limped my way to freedom just as all my weapons and shield were about to give.
Suggestion: reflect the subsystem health visually in the ship sprite. Like, one engine falls off at the halfway mark, then the other once engine health reaches critical.
