This was my first attempt at a Twine game. I made it for an event by a South African group for girls making games, the Amber Key Collective.
It's not very "game-y" yet, but I did have a lot of fun experimenting with ways for the text to feel interactive to mimic the experience it's trying to describe.
I'd love any feedback from you guys, or suggestions.
nothing really needs to be "game-y", that's overrated
I liked the idea with the boxed text, though a few times that made me unintentionally skip over what it was saying when i moused over it, but maybe you were trying to do that. It had an interesting mood with the writing and the pacing stuff.
Well, I may agree with you about it not being very Game-y, but it certainly encouraged me to play. I was wondering how the text would change from one moment to the next...I was waving my mouse pointer all over the screen, looking for little secrets.
For that brief moment in time, I was definitely having fun. I never knew going to the store could become extraordinary again. :)

Game vs Play
