This is a compilation of One Hour Game Jam submissions incorporating all of 1HGJ Vol. 1, all of 1HGJ Vol. 2, and the eight additional games I submitted during 2019.
I didn't manage to make as many games this year as I did last year. Somehow, in spite of this, the file size has more than doubled, which as we all know is the only reliable measure of quality there is. Enjoy!
Made for One Hour Game Jam #222. I don't typically post my 1HGJ games here individually, but I felt like doing it for this one. My computer froze and had to be rebooted mid-way through development, which made the creation process slightly longer and more stressful.
This game makes use of CC0 photographs by Ferenc Keresi & katja, and modified CC0 sounds by AudioEnabled. I drew the bed and the protagonist by hand at the start of the jam!
This is a compilation of One Hour Game Jam submissions incorporating all of 1HGJ Vol. 1, plus every submission I made in 2018, plus a few bonus games.
I struggled to make this my last release of 2018, but as a first release of 2019 it's not bad either. Please enjoy!
A sequel to Inching, from 1HGJ Vol. 1. Made for One Hour Game Jam #180 (Theme: Falling). Press space to drift in the wind.
$1.3 Game (pronounced one point three dollar game) is the first completed sequel to $13 Game following a couple of aborted attempts. It was made for One Hour Game Jam #175 (Theme: Charge) but actually took me slightly over 2 hours to make. It uses one button: spacebar.
I've been doing the one hour game jam the past few weeks, it's pretty fun! I thought this one turned out pretty well so I thought I'd post it here. Unity is a tough tool to use for such a tight time constraint, I find myself putting a lot of work into figuring out what I can actually get unity to do in that time frame rather than working from any particular idea. Still, sometimes it pushes you to use your tools more creatively than you might otherwise do. The theme this week was "two colors." A benefit of making very abstract games is that you don't have to go much out of your way to make your game fit the theme.
i dont know how to code and it annoys me is a 1hgj game i made because let-off-studios said i should.
Well technically it isnt a 1HGJ but i still made it in an hour
ARE YOU HAPPY NOW!!???
although it looks like these graphics are reused, they aren't. I made all new assets because i didnt think to use the old ones.
arrow keys to move
nothing else to do anything
made in that free shitty construct 3 trial because im BROKE AND CANT CODE
EDIT: thank you all so much for being such supportive individuals. i have no idea what i am doing and all i ever wanted to do was make games. ik my stuff sucks rn but i am so grateful that you all have given me such a nice and positive space to improve and learn. yall are the best and its nice to finally upload after being a lurker for so long.
Made for 7 Day Unlucky Jam (Theme: LUCK BASED GAME) & One Hour Game Jam #155 (Theme: Random Access Memory)
To play, press Spacebar (purposeful) or F2 (fun)
This is a compilation of games made in one hour (or thereabouts) for One Hour Game Jam. It's been an interesting experience for me participating in this throughout the year, typically consisting of waking up at 8am on Sundays to groggily pump something out of The Games Factory before heading out to fulfil other obligations.
Basic controls are arrow keys and spacebar. The game will tell you if you need to press other things.
Some of the games included are sequels to games I've posted here dating back to 2010. Playing them probably isn't necessary, though.
If desired, you can see my 1HGJ submissions individually here.
Thanks to jacklehamster for alerting me to the existence of One Hour Game Jam via Cup Flipper. Thanks also to the One Hour Game Jam community for helping me express myself quickly and regularly, this year would probably not have been creatively fulfilling for me otherwise.
