A follow-up to therein lies, created while listening to Chrissy and Clyde talk about flickgames.
I've been kind of awful this month so all I have is a quick ROM hack of Gridball, an old game of mine. Instead of a paddle-and-ball game, this is now a Snake-like game very similar to Poing! by Rick Holzgrave, and also very similar to DragBall and, to a lesser extent, TrailblaZer.
Click in front of the moving ball to place a block. The ball will turn 90 degrees at the block depending on the ball's colour. The computer-controlled paddle at the bottom can change the ball's colour if the ball hits it. You can also click on an existing block to remove it.
Sequel / edit of The Nagging Wife: The Dog Poop Adventures
Ostensibly based on Pixel Perfect, but inspired more by Pixel Perfect 3.5: Fan Mix.
Features TWO whole endings!
CHEATING AT KLIK OF THE MONTH: PART II
This Thursday, I started making a sequel to thurs day, my IGF Pirate Kart submission that got the most 'wtf' responses. This time, it's the history of art games, not video games, and you can press spacebar in addition to pressing the arrow keys.
The graphics, despite largely resembling the previous game, are entirely original this time. The sounds are mostly original too (thanks, malfunctioning microphone port) supplemented by edited audio from the games I referenced.
A word of warning: thurs day part ii is 'contemplative', which is to say, slow-paced to a fault.
This is a quick arena-type game featuring Saucer Sandy, a character from an old game of mine who is evidently down on her luck lately. At least she's got a new weapon to try out, though.
Score points by harmlessly blowing up your two friends and collecting desserts until you get tagged. But don't blow yourself up! That would be completely unconscionable.
Use the arrow keys to move and Space to drop mines.
