for a year now, i've been recommending games and other media(most recent example here link
so, for the winter season (dec 21-mar 20) i'm basically doing a review of the stuff i want to recommend from the season, just like how magazines or websites do a year-in-review thing. since we've just started spring, i'm also doing a 'preview' of spring, whatever that means.
so this is here to see if anybody wants to contribute anything to it.
for more context, here's what i think i will be putting in:
-some select recommendations, basically the things i recommend the most. probably separated into games / music / books
-a complete list of the games / music / books i consumed and still recommend
-there are some games/music/books i will only play in winter, regardless if they take place in winter or not. i will talk about that
-same as above, but for spring
-some art i made, maybe
-maybe a list of ideas
-maybe a personal essay or something
it can be anything, really, though i'd prefer it to be safe for work. i want to be able to show this to my mom basically.
if you want to contribute but don't know what, maybe make a list of your favourite games you only play in winter and/or spring? or maybe i'm the only one who makes those self-restrictions? lol
so you can send me stuff and i can put it in, or you can even create and design your own page and i'll put it in.
although i have no plans to print this, i will be creating this @ 300dpi. rgb colourspace. and us letter size (8.5" x 11"). just in case someone wants to print it. i'm using indesign cs6 for now.
since i'm using other people's work, i'm not going to monetize it, it's all for fun and for the purpose of getting really cool stuff out there!
would be great to have everything by wed mar 27, hopefully this will be done by mar 30.

Hey guys! It's been a while. I sorta lost my game-making mojo this month, but I still managed to finish up a pretty short Knytt Stories level. It's called The Star Festival, and it's about a Yuletide Knytt festival suspiciously similar to Christmas. It was originally made for a level competition on the Nifflas forums, but I ran way late with it. No screenshots because I'm feeling lazy.
ALSO: I submitted a game to the 7th Annual New Years Mini-comp, called You Have to Put the Baby New Year in the Champagne Bottle. It's pretty much what you would expect. Hope to see you guys again soon!
Yet another Knytt Story from me. This level was made for a recent competition on Nifflas's forums (theme: isolation). It's got kind of a Christmas-y feel to it, I think. Anyway, enjoy!
Merry Christmas, everyone! As a sort of Christmas present to you all, I'd like to share a Christmas-themed trainwreck with you all. It's yet another variation on You Have to Put the Ball in the Cup, only this time, you have to put a candy cane in a stocking. Very different. Anyway it's a text adventure/interactive fiction game so you'll need an interpreter to play blah blah blah. I think most of you know how these things work by now so I'll spare you the details.
(Also if you are looking for a sincere Christmas game instead of a joke one, I made this thingy a couple years back.)
Have been itching to enter a competition lately... was on an international flight during the klik-of-the-month, so I went searching for an alternative. Drunken Coders (.com) was hosting their 2009 winter nintendo ds programming competition with a deadline of march 19th. Sounded good to me!
So in what limited time I could find to code, I threw together this little puzzle game.
It is pretty silly and was a real rushed job, so I thought I would share it here on glorious trainwrecks (though I'm not sure it's glorious enough, hee hee)
Hope you enjoy...

edit:note that this is meant to be played on a real nintendo ds or a good nds emulator (if you must)
