These automatic arms.

screenshot103.png

You appear not to be in control of your arms.
Bystanders may be in danger.
A tinfoil hat might help?
Reunite with your child and give them a proper hug.
(Made for Molyjam NYC.)

Update:

v1.1: -- one new gameplay mechanic, two new rooms, four new bystanders, thirteen new pieces of tinfoil, zero new easter eggs, debug keys removed or better squirreled away, slightly augmented fifth room clue, a few minor bugs squashed, 'hallway' room's doors open faster, N Key will now speed through the intro and outro screens, first room's tinfoil text appears more quickly, cute but capricious switch-up removed from ninth room, your child loves you just a little bit more.

Community Chainwreck 2 and 1/2: Episode 1

Chainwreck2-Ep1.png

Decided I would go ahead and get the first episode out even though there's still five days to go.

This episode pretty much establishes the main plot. I tried to go for something coherent instead of just all-out random. Hopefully I did a decent job on expanding Yellow Jogger as a character.

Also this has the first two levels of the game, which are both pretty short.

Cretan Hubris

Entry.jpg

Story You are the master architect Daedalus. You have just finished building the Labyrinth; a massive, elaborate maze on the Isle of Crete.

Unfortunately, boasts about your accomplishment have drawn the wrath of jealous gods. They have sent a burning energy wave rippling through your creation...

Gameplay The gameplay and concept are fairly simple. You are in a procedurally-generated maze that extends infinitely to the right. The goal is to escape the maze by progressing to the right, but, of course, there is no end to the maze.

To make matters worse, a red wave of insta-killing wrath slowly marches in from the left. You try and escape the wave for as long as possible, but eventually the game will always end in a victory for the gods.

Unintentional Christmas Tree

christmas.png

Use the arrow keys to move the floor left and right. If a block lands where the floor is a different colour to itself, something bad happens depending on the mode; otherwise, it stays where it lands. Press space to release all landed blocks and gain points; the more blocks on the ground, the more points you get. Easy mode does not have a lose condition.

left/right, A/D: move.
space, up, W: release blocks on the ground.
1, 2: select a mode on the title screen.
1, 2, enter, space: continue at the lose screen.
escape, backspace: quit to title; exit at title.

W/A/D works for other keyboard layouts too: QWERTZ, AZERTY, Dvorak, Colemak.

The tower is being destroyed, climb to the top to save your life!
This is more or less a "sequel" to my game Fate of Mankind, which was also included on the IGF Pirate Kart. If you haven't played it yet, try it out first!

Arrow keys to move and jump.
